SKYBER Aerospace partners with Sibia Technologies to tap the UAV market in MEA

Bangalore, October 14, 2024 — SKYBER Aerospace, a deep-tech, AI-driven UAV solutions provider, has entered a multi-year partnership with Dubai-based Sibia Technologies for the sales and services of SKYBER's UAV products across the Middle East and Africa (MEA). The agreement spans the full UAV lifecycle — product sales, service and maintenance, training and operational support, and technology integration.

Under the partnership, SKYBER supplies high-performance UAV systems and drives regional-specific innovation, while Sibia manages local sales, customer relationships, marketing, and regional supply-chain logistics. The MEA UAV market is projected to reach roughly $5.3 billion by 2029, with strong demand across both defence and commercial segments including oil & gas, construction, and agriculture.

"Countries like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and parts of Africa are expected to be significant consumers of UAV technology due to their increasing defence budgets, need for border security, and investments in modern technology for commercial sectors. The partnership between SKYBER Aerospace and Sibia Technologies represents a significant step towards tapping into the burgeoning UAV market in the Middle East and Africa," said Joseph George, co-founder and CEO of SKYBER Aerospace.

"We are happy to announce this partnership with SKYBER Aerospace. It's a symbiotic relationship where companies leverage their strengths to grow in a competitive market. We will be taking an integrated role in delivering the UAV systems and managing post-sale services like training operators, providing support services, performing post-sales engineering support, and ensuring regulatory compliance," said Nour Al Atassi, CEO of Sibia Technologies.

The partnership also covers localizing SKYBER's UAV platforms for regional conditions — high temperatures, dust and sandstorms — and sector needs such as oil & gas exploration and agricultural and construction mapping. Sibia will further leverage its telecom-operator relationships to run UAV solutions over public and private 5G networks. Roadmap themes include fully autonomous AI-navigated drones, long-range surveillance, drone-swarming, and precision-agriculture, construction-monitoring and cargo applications.
